A senior executive of a major bank in New York once told a reporter how he had risen to his position.
At first I served as an office boy. I would collect the mail and distribute it to the various departments on different floors in the corporation.
Then one day the president of the company called me aside and said, “from tomorrow on, I want you to come into my office and spend time with me every day. I replied, “but what could I do to help, I know nothing about finances.”
“Never mind that”, said the president, “you will learn what I want to teach you a lot faster if you just stay by my side, keeping your eyes on me and your ears open to hear.”
That was the most significant day in my life. Being with that man made me just like him. I began to do things the way he did, and that accounts for what I am today.

In this is Love, not that we loved God but that he loved us
God wants us to be aware of his constant commitment to our lives. You just don’t stumble into spending time with God. You have to make a decision to do it.
